INSPIRING CHANGE AND SETTING INTENTIONS FOR 2020
This retreat will teach you to embrace 2020 with open arms and an open heart.
Tjugondag Knut ("Twentieth Day Knut") is a traditional festival celebrated in Sweden and Finland on 13 January. At Hotel Los Castaños it has become somewhat of a tradition to extend festivities past the twelfth day and celebrate Swedish style on the 13th of January.
Christmas trees are taken down on Tjugondag jul, and the candies and cookies that decorated the tree are eaten. In Sweden, the feast held during this event is called a Knut's party (Julgransplundring, literally "Christmas tree plundering") and there is dancing involved!
To kick off your retreat we invite you to our special Knut´s dinner on your first evening. We think it is a perfect opportunity to end the festive season and look towards a New Year with hope and anticipation for change.
The retreat program is designed to help us set intentions for the coming year and the activities are intended to teach and enforce the importance of resilience and to help you find your purpose. During this retreat we will look at practical ways to include self care into our lives such as gratitude journal writing, social media detox, decluttering. We will look at how our thoughts affect the way we live, how to take back control of them and how positive thoughts and actions can change our lives for the better.
We will of course also include our usual holistic mix of physical and mindful activities. We will treat the body with invigorating walks, pilates and aerobic exercise, delicious nutritious food and relaxing massage and also restore and renew mind and spirit with yoga, Thai massage, healing and meditation, self care rituals and inspiring connections.
You will leave armed, prepared, restored and revitalised to take on a New Year.
